Learn shows every tutorial and sample design as a card with its picture. Each card says which years it suits, its focus area, how it is made and the tools it teaches, so you can find something at your level. It is like the Learning Center in Onshape.
- A tutorial takes you through a project step by step, with a checklist for each step.
- A sample is a finished design to open, explore and change.
Each one opens as your own copy, so you can keep it and change it.
How to open Learn#
- Click Documents in the top bar.
- Click Learn, under the buttons at the top.
You can also press Alt+C (Search tools), type learn and press Enter.
Finding something to do#
- Choose your Year: Stage 4 is Years 7–8, Stage 5 is Years 9–10 and Stage 6 is Years 11–12.
- Choose a Focus area, such as Timber or Design & Technology, or how it is Made with, such as Laser cutting.
- Choose a Tool you want to learn, such as Fillet or Joint, or type a word in the box (other programs' names work too, such as hole wizard).
- Click a card's picture, or Start tutorial or Open a copy.
Chips in the same row widen the search (Stage 4 or Stage 5); chips in different rows narrow it (Timber and Laser cutting). The number on each chip says how many cards it has. Clear filters shows everything again.

New to CAD? The five steps along the top follow the order designers work in: Sketch, Part, Joint/Mate, Drawing, Make. Each step opens a tutorial or sample that shows it, and says what to try next.
