Hand in sends your finished design to your teacher. It packs your design, its versions and its feature tree into a link or a file, tagged with your name, your class, the task and the time you handed it in. Your teacher can play the build to see how you made it.
Nothing is uploaded and you do not need an account. Your name goes only into the link or file you hand in.
How to use it#
- Click Hand in at the top of the feature tree (it is there when your teacher's class link started the task), or click Export, then Hand in.
- Check the task and your class, and type your name. SchoolCAD remembers your name in this browser.
- Click Make my hand-in.
- Click Copy link and paste the link into Google Classroom or Teams, where your teacher set the task. If SchoolCAD made a file instead, click Download hand-in file and attach the file there.
A link or a file?#
A small design fits in a link. A design with many versions or an imported picture is too big for a link, so SchoolCAD makes a .schoolcad hand-in file instead and says why. Both hold the same things. You can always choose Download a file instead.
Tips#
- Save a version at the end of each lesson (see Versions). Your versions go with your hand-in, so your teacher can see how your design developed.
- Changed something after you handed in? Hand in again. The task card says when you last handed in.
- Hand-ins after the due day are marked Late for your teacher.
If it does not work#
- Make something first, then hand it in. The design is still empty.
- Type your name first. Your teacher needs to know whose design it is.
