Mark hand-ins shows a student's hand-in read-only: who handed it in, the task, when (and whether it was late), where the design began, the model, its versions and Play the build. Nothing you do there changes the hand-in.
Opening hand-ins#
- A hand-in link: click it. SchoolCAD opens the Marking view.
- One hand-in file: click Open file, or drop the file onto SchoolCAD.
- A whole class: download the hand-in files from Google Classroom or Teams, then drop them all onto SchoolCAD (or choose them all in Open file). The class table lists every student. You can also click Export, then Mark hand-ins, and paste several hand-in links into the class table.
The Marking view#
- Hand-in: the student, class, task, when it was handed in, Late or On time, and where the design began (blank, a tutorial, a sample, a link or a file).
- The model: turn it and zoom it like the Part Studio. Play the build shows how it was made, feature by feature.
- Versions: click a version to see the design as it was then.
- Design check: problems in the feature tree, overlapping parts, sketches that are not fully defined, materials and more (see Check). Designs from a tutorial also show which tutorial steps are done.
- Feedback: write it in the box, click Copy feedback, and paste it into Google Classroom or Teams. SchoolCAD does not keep it.
Save a copy makes a copy in your own designs, to try something on it. Download file keeps a hand-in that came as a link.
The class table#
Each row shows the student's picture, task, time, Late, where the design began and the check results. Open shows that student's design; Next goes on to the next student. Copy table copies the list for a spreadsheet. Plain design files (Save file) are listed too, without a time or task.
Nothing is uploaded: the files and links stay on your computer.
